About GoodLuck

What GoodLuck is

In most Indian homes this was never one thing. It is a kundli drawn when a child is born. A call to the family jyotishi before a wedding date is fixed. The panchang checked before a griha pravesh. Different people, different books, different phone calls.

GoodLuck puts the chart, the timing and a person to ask in one place, so that you are not starting over every time a new question comes up. Four things you do yourself, in a few minutes, for nothing — your janam kundli, the panchang and muhurat timings for your city, your rashifal, and kundli milan with all eight kootas shown separately. And a fifth, a consultation with a practitioner, which is the only part you pay for.

Why we are building it

Because the existing apps in this category are, with few exceptions, built to hurry you. Countdown timers. Feeds of strangers who supposedly just booked. Struck-through prices. Wallets you load and then cannot empty. Readings that stop halfway down the screen until you pay. And, at the worst end, practitioners who raise the fear of harm in order to sell a remedy.

None of that is required by the tradition. It is a choice about how to run a business, and we have made the opposite choice — not as a marketing position, but because we would not want our own families using the first kind.

What is free, and what is paid

The reference material is free, in full, with nothing held back. Kundli, panchang and muhurat, rashifal, kundli milan. No subscription, no premium tier, no report to unlock, no section that stops halfway down. We do not intend to charge for them, and if that ever changed we would say so 30 days beforehand.

Consultations are paid, one session at a time. You see an estimated total for the length you choose before you begin — not only a per-minute rate — and that figure is what leaves your account. There is no wallet, no recharge, no stored balance and no card kept on file, so there is nothing that can expire or be forfeited. The Refunds and Cancellations page sets out every window and day count.

How we intend to work

GoodLuck has not launched. We have no user numbers, no ratings, no testimonials and no awards, and we would rather tell you that than borrow numbers we have not earned. What we can put in front of you is the standard we intend to hold, written plainly enough that you can hold us to it.

What we will not do

We treat jyotish as tradition and practice, not as science, and we will never tell you a reading is accurate or guaranteed. Nothing in GoodLuck predicts or guarantees an outcome.

Nothing in it is medical, legal or financial advice, and nothing is offered as the diagnosis, treatment, prevention or cure of any condition. The app carries no gemstone, yantra, tabeez, puja or remedy of any kind — we do not sell them, we take no commission on them, and a practitioner may not sell them to you through GoodLuck.

We do not publish invented proof: no user counts, no ratings, no testimonials, no awards and no feed of activity that did not happen. If a number appears on this site, it is real or it is not there.

Who is behind it

GoodLuck is built and operated by BluKernel Labs, a registered sole proprietorship in India, working from Bengaluru. BluKernel Labs invents, engineers and operates its own software products rather than taking client work; its own site is at blukernel.com.

The full particulars — legal status, address, telephone, and our Grievance Officer — are on the Contact page, and the policies that govern the app are on the Terms, Privacy and Refunds pages.

Where it stands today

The app is in development and is not on the Play Store yet. There is no listing to send you to, and we are not going to pretend otherwise.

The policies on this site are published in advance rather than after launch, so that you can read them before deciding whether to hand us anything. They describe how the app will work from the day it opens. Where something is not yet true of a live app, the page says so.

If you would like to be told when it is ready, write to hello@getgoodluck.in. One message, when there is an app to open.
